Why we are here...
Early development is fundamental
to the growth of your child.
Our goal at Small World Children’s Center is to provide opportunities for each child to develop physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually, and spiritually.
Group and individual activities provide children with the opportunity to learn respect of self, others and property. Time is provided for the development of both gross and fine motor skills. Bible stories from both the Old and New Testaments are used to teach God as Creator and Jesus as Lord and Savior. Basic Christian principles and cognitive skills are a premise for each class.
All SWCC teachers meet daycare licensing requirements as established by the state of Ohio. Each teacher is required to annually complete fifteen hours of in-service training until obtaining a minimum of 45 hours. Refresher courses must be taken for First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease Management and Child Abuse Recognition to keep training current. There remains at least one staff member on site at all times who is trained in First-Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease Management, and Child Abuse Recognition. Awareness of childhood developmental stages and needs are maintained by SWCC teacher(s) of each age group of children. Teachers are required to maintain both a Christian attitude and a Christian lifestyle.
SWCC is a state licensed center maintaining staff-child ratios as directed by the Ohio Department of Human Services.
